mini disco time

i am currently sat in agora listening to various international mini disco songs and my fave has to be the spanish ones this week has been very eventful and ive loved it starting with Saturday it was my first transfer day and i really was quite nervous but excited i felt very confident on the mic on the bus and was able to stand up but had to be proped up by Kirsty. Last night was my first night out in Bodrum and we all got very drunk i was dancing on the bar and drinking various free shots and it was great fun bring on more trips to Bodrum

turkey end of another week (week 2)

so another week has flown around yet again and i am finally adjusting to the style of work i have thoroughly enjoyed this week even more with the chance to work with the older age. I also had an afternoon off where i was able to go to the spa and have the chance to have  a turkish massage with a turkish man. He was so much better than the previous back massage i had encountered and worked wonders on my arm which has a lot of tension it wasn't that bad either at about 42 lira so 21 in the uk roughly.  So if i decide to stay longer i will definately have to choose to have a massage more often. As for work head office has emailed to ask whether i would stay till November i believe that id prefer to just September so we shall see what they say as id like work with a better pay as i believe it can be fun here but long hours.

day off and transfer day

Today was an amazing day off from how busy it has been i am sure sometimes they are doing things they would never be able to get away with in England like two staff to twenty children at night time. On the positive though we had some great tips from some parents which was able to pay off my expenses card. I will make sure that this is paid off at the end of each week because one of the girls who thankfully went home today ended up paying a fortune of 400 turkish lira I  would be so poor.
Today has been really good i have been on a catamaran which tipped over and watching Sam waterboarding he tried to go for a jump and hurt his cheast. i can't wait for my next day off where i will be a lot more chilled and will be able to sunbathe some more. I have also booked for a back massage as we are able to get discount there.
Stupidly i have decided that on my night off i will be doing some babysiting one of the rich parents said money is no object so hopefully a good tip tonight to spend on some good quality food.

Turkey Sea Garden day 2

so i have finally settled in to living away living with Heidi head of water front and Kirsty we are all pretty close the guys in the office are very sound and don't mind anyone coming into their offfice. The work in Turkey is very full on but the nights off definately make up for it and for some reason i can manage to pull off work half 8 till 9 so some very long hours and thankfully there is a good lunch break. Unfortunately i don't seem to be able to afford drinks onsight as i still don't have a card that all the drinks have to go on which at the moment is ace as i haven't had to pay for anything and when we went to sort out the residency VISA in Bodrum today i had lunch and drinks paid for:P hhehe
Bodrum centre is so culturally ace and the people are all very traditionel with the guys in the street singing and pulling you into their shops. The turkish men are a very strange bunch one of the guys that work in the area has a  habit of just staring. I have been told that wednesday i will be learning the watersports so very much looking forward to that.

London calling

 I had a fab time in London yesterday, before collecting the Visa we stopped off at Westminster and it was amazing to see the amount of patriotic joy there was many flags lined up also there was so many crazy people camping what freaks !
finally we ended up at the Embassy where we were greated by the most arrogant of woman, who told me it was not possible to get the visa and passport back till next Saturday which means i will be flying Monday when i really need to be out on Saturday :( she had the nerve to speak over the mic as though i was death stupid embassy lady. For lunch we stopped off at Pizza express and yet again there was another rude person i just think you have to be slightly arrogant to live in London. Sara once told me that everyone who passed the street cleaners in the morning ignored them but she was sweet to talk to him and he appreciated this. I therefore could not live in a big city such as London

off to London tommorrow to battle the crowds to receive my turkish VISA at the momement with the company it is all pretty vague not only did they bodge up going to get the VISA first time but they want me to get hold of my old CRB checks when they have one its like they are saying there CRB is invalid. On a plus side ive managed to get in contact with four people of whom work on watersports, one of which is German and ive been having a lovely conversation in German and she will be back in July for her birthday so looking forward to visiting lots of new people and starting work out there. i think i will definately miss uni and all the people but making new friends will be great

let the sunshine

With the sun outside i am beginning to feel very spiritual and i  am so looking forward to feeling the heat for six months abroad. Even though it is a very long time away from home i am very excited as it will be a new adventure. Oates 2011 the experience will better you!

I spent a few hours today sitting outside and find that i am also able to reflect on past experiences of revising for the GCSE and AS levels.
